Sharing Reports
Static Studio makes it easy to securely share deployment reports with clients, team members, or other stakeholders.
Instead of downloading and emailing PDFs, you can create secure public links that let recipients view the latest report directly in their browsers.
Open a report, then click Share to manage sharing.
Creating a Share Link
To create a new share link, provide the following information:
- Recipient – An optional email address to help identify the recipient of the link.
- Expiry – Choose when the share link should automatically expire.
- Password (optional) – Protect the report with a password for additional security.
Click Create Share Link to generate the public link.
Once created, the link can be copied and shared with your client or team.
Managing Share Links
A report can have multiple active share links.
For each link, Static Studio displays:
- Current status
- Recipient
- Share URL
- Number of report views
- Number of PDF downloads
This makes it easy to track which reports have been shared and whether they have been accessed.
Link Status
Each share link has its own status.
Active
The report can be viewed by anyone with the share link.
Revoked
The link has been disabled and can no longer be used to access the report.
Revoking a link immediately removes access without affecting the report itself.
Marking Reports as Sent
After sending a report to your client, click Mark Sent.
This provides a simple way to keep track of which reports have already been delivered.
It does not send an email or notify the recipient - it is simply an organizational tool inside Static Studio.
Copying Share Links
Click Copy to copy the public report URL to your clipboard.
You can then send the link using your preferred communication channel, such as:
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
- Project management tools
- Client portals
Revoking Access
If a report should no longer be accessible, simply click Revoke.
The public link is immediately disabled, preventing any further access while preserving the report inside your Static Studio account.
If needed, you can always create a new share link later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I create multiple share links for the same report?
Yes.
Each report can have multiple independent share links, allowing you to share the same report with different recipients.
Can I password-protect reports?
Yes.
When creating a share link, you can optionally specify a password for additional security.
What happens when a share link expires?
Expired links automatically stop working and can no longer be used to access the report.
You can always generate a new share link if needed.
Does revoking a link delete the report?
No.
Revoking a share link only disables public access. The report itself remains available inside your Static Studio account.
