Site Health Overview

Site Health helps you monitor the health of every static website deployed through Static Studio.

Instead of relying on multiple services, Site Health combines uptime monitoring, deployment validation, SEO checks, AI crawler readiness, and performance reporting into a single dashboard.

Checks run automatically in the background, helping you identify problems before they affect your visitors or search engine visibility.

With Site Health, you can:

  • Monitor website availability
  • Detect DNS, SSL, and CDN issues
  • Review deployment changes after every export
  • Manage robots.txt, verification files, and sitemaps
  • Improve AI crawler compatibility
  • Configure email alerts
  • Track Google PageSpeed performance
  • Submit updated URLs with IndexNow

Dashboard

The Sites page gives you an at-a-glance overview of every monitored website.

The dashboard is divided into three sections.

Health

The Health card summarizes the status of all monitored websites.

It shows:

  • Healthy sites
  • Sites that require attention
  • Critical issues

If a site requires attention, simply click its Site Health badge in the site list to open the detailed report.

Uptime

The Uptime card provides a summary of availability across your deployed static websites.

It tracks:

  • Website availability
  • DNS health
  • SSL certificates
  • CDN availability
  • Response monitoring

This makes it easy to spot infrastructure problems before your visitors do.

Performance

The Performance card displays the latest Google PageSpeed scores for your monitored sites.

You'll quickly see:

  • Average performance score
  • Sites requiring optimization
  • Sites waiting for their first PageSpeed report

Site List

Every monitored website includes a Site Health status badge. The status updates automatically as Site Health checks complete.

Possible states include:

  • Healthy - No issues detected.
  • Warnings - One or more non-critical issues require attention.
  • Critical - Immediate action is recommended.

Clicking the health badge opens the full Site Health report for that website.

Site Health Report

Each monitored site includes a dedicated Site Health report containing all monitoring data and configuration options.

The report is organized into five tabs.

Tab Description
Overview Summary of your site's health and currently open issues.
Uptime Availability, response time, SSL, DNS and CDN monitoring.
URLs & Changes Review what changed during the latest deployment.
SEO & AI Manage SEO files, AI readiness and IndexNow.
Alerts Configure email notifications for important events.

At the top of every report, you'll find:

  • Current health status
  • Last completed health check
  • Manual Recheck button
  • Manual Refresh button

Understanding Health Issues

The Overview tab summarizes all currently detected issues.

Issues are grouped by category and include a short explanation together with a suggested solution.

Common issue categories include:

  • SEO
  • robots.txt
  • XML Sitemap
  • AI Readiness
  • URL Quality
  • Uptime

Whenever possible, Static Studio provides a direct shortcut to the appropriate configuration screen, making it easy to resolve issues without searching through multiple settings.

Below the issue list, you'll also find summary cards showing:

  • Uptime status
  • URL Quality
  • SEO & AI status
  • Number of changed URLs
  • URL warnings
  • AI Readiness score

These cards provide a quick overview of your site's current health without inspecting every individual check.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Site Health monitor my WordPress website?

No.

Site Health monitors your deployed static website, not your WordPress installation. This ensures monitoring continues even if your WordPress site is offline or inaccessible.

How often are health checks performed?

Different checks run on different schedules depending on the type of monitoring.

For example, uptime checks run more frequently than DNS, SSL, or PageSpeed checks.

Can I manually run health checks?

Yes.

Open a site's Site Health report and click Recheck to immediately run supported health checks.

Why does my site show "Warnings" instead of "Healthy"?

Warnings indicate that Static Studio found one or more non-critical issues, such as a missing sitemap or AI crawler recommendations.

Your website is still operational, but addressing these recommendations can improve SEO, discoverability and overall site quality.

Do I need to configure everything before using Site Health?

No.

Most monitoring works automatically after your first deployment. Features such as Alerts, managed SEO files, and IndexNow are optional enhancements that you can configure whenever you're ready.
